Blending Ayurvedic Principles and Yogic Practices for a Juicier Life Taught by William Hunt and Carol Moritz Saturday January 26, 1:30pm - 5:30pm Sunday January 27, 9:00am - 1:00pm; 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Yoga greatly improves health, vitality and disposition. This is especially true when yoga practice is supported with an understanding of its sister science, Ayurveda, which translates as the science of life or longevity. Ayurveda teaches that life thrives at its optimum when the natural elements of earth, water, fire and air and ether (space) are balanced and in harmony. This workshop will introduce Ayurvedic principles and combine them with yogic practices to bring more juiciness to your life in this fire and air aggravated world. Session 1: Saturday 1:30 6:00 pm Introduction to Ayurveda followed by Ayurvedic and Yogic practices focusing on balancing the ether and air elements. Session 2: Sunday 9:00 12:30 Emphasis on Ayurvedic and Yogic practices to balance the earth and water elements. Session 3: Sunday 2:00 6:00 pm Emphasis on Ayurvedic and Yogic practices to balance the fire element. Carol Moritz assisted William Hunt in developing and leading the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Programs at the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago from 1995 through 2005. As a team, they were very successful in training many of the present day yoga teachers in the Chicagoland area. Carol is now living in Albuquerque, but is in town this weekend to once again share with William her many talents and humor in presenting to you this very special workshop. $55 per session, $135 for all three must preregister 708 445-0392 |
